Stitches East

It was a great drive to Hartford, Ct.  I made great time until I got right down the street from the convention center.  The marathon was going on,  luckily enough a policeman helped me get around the marathon and make it to the convention center.

I made it in time to take a market class.  I wanted to take the crocodile stitch.  I have always wanted to learn this stitch.  It was really easy once I have taken the class.  I finished the scarf shortly after I got home.

Once the class was finished I went to the market area for the drawing.  My name wasn't drawn 😒.  I was surprised it took four names before they got a winner.

I then took my class with Marly Bird.  It was excited I was able to meet her.  It was a hobby to profession.  I learned a lot on how to get my ideas ready for submission for publishers.

I have listened to her podcast for awhile.  It was a treasure to meet her.  She is even nicer in person.

Then it was time to check out the market area.  I mostly looked around and got an idea on what I wanted to get on Sunday.  Stitches had a yarn wall where you could get a look at different new yarns.
I met a lot of nice people. It is always nice to go to Stitches.

I got some yarn from Kansas yarn barn, Holiday yarns, Dizzy Sheep (love the grab bag) , Kristen Omdahl, and found some yarn with my daughter nickname - Kenzie so of course I had to get it.

I had a great time at Stitches and can't wait until the next one.  My daughter wants to go with me to the Nashville, Tn Stitches.
