The third weekend of October is the NYS sheep and wool festival. It is a great festival for all who love fiber of any type. We got to the festival around 8:45 am and there was a line to enter the fair grounds. We started with the building and then went to each and every building. There were a couple of spots I wanted to hit - holiday yarns was one that I wanted to get to first.
I love looking at the animals that they have.
At noon time is the Ravelry meet up. It is fun seeing all the homemade items from sweaters to hats to cowls. Some outstanding talent.
I found some really great yarns to try.
My Rhinebeck purchases. I got my holiday yarns dye kit, Buffalo wool, Miss Babs, Bijou Basin, Good Karma Farms and dancing leaf farms are the ones I got yarn at to try this year. We left around 2:30 pm and mt feet were sore and I think I was fibered out.
